Lots of fund required to build. Don't know what makes SLAM so optimism. Maybe positive occupancy news from SOT.UN.

They probably raised capital from investors and it would not be be in the benefit of slam income statement to return capital so just build cross fingers and when investors get killed blam the pandemic

Look: It's obvious the way SLAM manages SOT that they only care about the AUM and the managment fees.  IF there is an activist investor out there with 5% or more of  SOT stock,  and they call the special meeting,   it's gonna be easy to convince the majority of shareholders to jettison the SLAM managers from SOT.   Artis activists had a relative ...more

Shareholders are very disappointed with SLAM and have very strong desire to get rid of SLAM from SOT.UN.

SOT doesn't have anything to do with that project. SLAM has always been in the property business, so it's not really a surprise they would develop a mixed project outside SOT.
