Superior Plus's AGM

A couple of days ago I received the Noting of Meeting and Management Information Circular, in the mail. I am annoyed that it was to be a "VIRTUAL AGM",  held by webcast, online, not  in person.
Considering that the company is in a process of expanding its activities in a new field (for Superior at least), and the pendemic is over for all intents and purposes, why does it have to be by webcast?
My holdings exceed the most shares owned by a board member, and it is unlikely that it could ask ANY PENETRATING QUESTIONS during this AGM, due to its virtual format.
Since the board members receive a generous travel allowence to attend the AGM, that cannot be the reason.
So what is the reason for it being virtual?
Maintaning a strict control of the flow of information? Preventing any embarrassing quesions coming
from the floor?
Any ideas fellow shareholders?

I am in your position, but have no concerns over virtual, actually means I do not have to travel !   You are not very secure in your ownership!

It looks like you misunderstood my post. At this time I am not concerned, however I do not want to be blindsided at the AGM either. I am not that happy with Pembina having its virtual AGM either, for the same reasons.

I believe this vitual AGM fear is much ado about nothing.Superior isn't some 2bit penny stock trading on the vulture exchange..as for being in a position to weed out irrelevant questions..rather difficult if it's live virtual lol Nothing to gain even if they do(could). There are too many strategic shareholders owning this stock..and It's not they that are expressing concerns..it's ...more

I've had a number of these already and expect more. Like employees working at home, they found they liked it this way.  Far less stress and really over at the click of a button.  They are using covid to keep it so.  Pretty inexcusable in my books.  They should face the shareholders. Too many have forgotten or don't want to think about their responsibility to the owners ...more

Well it also reflects on the declining work ethics in Canada, methinks.
