Yeah, Ford says we're following the science, but I'm skeptical - I guess it depends on what you define as science.  I certainly don't believe we would have seen 300,000 cases a day - that would give us herd immunity by the end of January! I wouldn't be surprised to see SRV SP badly hit tomorrow.  We're in a very different place from March 2020, but there may well be ...more

Do as before. Buy the fear. Profit on panic.

And one more thing... kick Ford's butt to the curb on June 2nd and end his political career.

The government failed to increase ICU capacity after the first wave... always waiting until the last minute. Ford is a follower, not a leader.... reactive never proactive. His mistakes now become the burdon of many small businesses... again. He's finished. June 2nd he's done.

The tough decision would be to push through like New York which is similar to Toronto in many ways. Deaths would increase, like in any "war", but our businesses, our economy and future mental health of society saved. And, population immunity would be here sooner ...more

There is no fear yet (or buying opportunities unfortunately) this morning the VIX is sitting below 17 and SRV is looking to open only a couple of percentage points below the previous close.  The markets are telling us not to fear Omicron.  I think these closures are somewhat needed (don't roast me on here!) my sons school (Junior School) shut down a week early before Christmas ...more

The US market is pricing in the end of covid regardless of case counts, which today was a record shattering 1 million there. My friend just tested positive today after his son had tested last week. Both have mild muscle ache and some head stuffiness. If it weren't for the take home test kit his son was given before the Xmas break neither would know any difference. But, leave it to our weak ...more

Ford = failure. We have the dumbest leader running our province.... we are one of the highest vaccinated on the globe, I have my 3 shots, yet he wants to protect the vaccinated from the vaccinated so that more people can get vaccinated so he can shut us down again for a 4 th vaccination? His logic is f-d. If he had balls to lead he would avoid lockdowns, add a few more restrictions but keep our ...more
