pause on Divdend?

I think They will need to pause the dividend for at least a month, well January is probably the month with the worst sales.

I expect so... and will add some trading shares on a dip. Every Monday I hook up with a few close friends for wings at a small local pub. We've been doing it for years. Last night was dead, maybe only 15% capacity. But... this is standard for this time of year. If Ford had a brain he would allow restos to stay open at a reduced capacity again, say 25% so small businesses could push through ...more

No way! They will pay as normal and expect to make it up throughout the year. Dividends (and these are not dividends but distributions but regardless in this case) are not like light switches. You cannot just turn them on and off. It simply does not work that way.  January's and 3/4 of February's (because of Valentine's Day and Family day)  sales are held up mostly by gift ...more

The fear mongers at the WHO are now admitting that Omicron is not as dangerous as first believed. It explains why with 1 million cases today reported in the US, the market is holding up. Investors are looking past the fear and writing this variant ...more

So far they have been real tight with their cash, i do not think they will make a payment.

I will bet $5.00 against anyone that wants some action on this. Respond here if you want in. Bets close and are paid March 1st or as soon as they make an announcement of a distribution cut.  Payments to be made by Etransfer.  any takers?

No takers here!  My thinking is that the only way the distribution will be cut is if the banks say so - and I doubt they will do that until the current facility requires a rollover.  Hopefully by then the situation will have reverted back to full opening.  That said, the timing of the special distribution was a little unfortunate - not baming management, though!

no bet for me, but I'll eat some humble pie if wrong. Maybe they can use some of distribution withheld from the prior year to cover, I hope I'm wrong but my logic says they will stop payment and conserve the cash.
