An Idea for What Sandstorm Can Do with the Buyback I've speculated in the past on deals I think SSL would be wise to make. I've listed Corvus Gold, Kimber Resources and Rainy River among others as potential suitors for a new stream. Now that we are getting $26.4 million for 4 percent of the stream back (and probably more money for the last 2 percent) the company needs to replace those lost ounces! Here is an idea: CLAUDE RESOURCES.
Claude currently operates the producing Seabee mine at a rate of 60K ounces per year. they produced 15K this last quarter. Cash costs for the mine are just over $1K but they will decline. And they need the money! Cash & Short Term Investments: ($1.6 million)
(June 30, 2012)
Debt (June 30, 2012):
Short Term $18.2 million
Long Term $1.0 million
20 percent of life of mine for $35 million.
