STUDENT TRANSPORTATION INC. DECLARES CASH DIVIDEND
The board of directors of Student Transportation Inc. has approved a regular monthly cash dividend of 3.667 U.S. cents per common share on the dates of Nov. 16, 2015, Dec. 15, 2015, and Jan. 15, 2016, to shareholders of record at the close of business on each of the months of October, 2015, through December, 2015. The January payment will be the company's 132nd consecutive monthly dividend paid to shareholders of record.
STI designates these dividends to be eligible dividends, pursuant to Subsection 89(14) of the Income Tax Act (Canada) and its equivalent in any provinces of Canada. These dividends should be considered qualified dividends from a U.S. tax perspective under Section 1(h)(11) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, subject to the shareholder meeting and the holding period requirement to claim the qualified dividend treatment

You guys realize the company is posting this news more than a month earlier than they usually do! They are telling us something, they are O.K. with the divy this high and are confirming their comittment to it even though it's crazy high. I The next Qtr. is going to look pretty nice with the debt payments line item dropping significantly! I imagine the big boys will wait to here what they have ...more
