RE:RE:RE:RE:Quebec Pension Fund

RE:RE:RE:RE:Quebec Pension FundThanks for your reply to my post.  Good post!

Upon rereading my post I should have made a distinction between Quebecers which as an entity didn't exist in the 1700s or in the early 1800 from France.  You are right about De Salaberry and his contribution to Canada.

That said, modern Quebecois politician actions are consistent with what I posted earlier.  I have a large number of Quebecois that are close friends who do not share the opinions of their provincial leaders now or for that matter over the past 5 or 6 decades. Sadly we see of dichotomy between the rank and file and the political leadership.

The same is true in the US.  I have have spent a lot of time in the US over the years both in business and in retirement and have many close friends who are Americans.  My impression from them is that the leadership in the US does not reflect their view of the world even though they are both Democrats and Republicans.  My own personal assessment is that over the past few years this divergence has widened significantly.  Hopefully some sort of sanity will re-emerge
