RE:OPEC misses oil output target, again

RE:OPEC misses oil output target, againYes, as expected. They can't even meet present quotas. It doesn't matter what they agree on now.   However, they must appear to the markets that they are able to control production to keep the oil price from spiking in a free for all, like a Covid run on toilet paper. That would push the world in to an even tougher recession, reminants of 2008.

OPEC as a whole may be able to temporarily increase supply by shipping from storage, but can't increase production. As living conditions in countries deteriorate significantly caused by increasing energy and food costs, conditions are worse there now than those that sparked the Arab Spring.

Populations in some oil producting nations are revolting, and it is starting to hit the fan.

Here's what is going on in Lybia now, as they just burned down their parliament. Bye bye Lybia oil supply.
