Merimat

There is more to look at than renewables and storage system companies.

True that many of the promising companies are private companies and I have through contacts invested in some private companies.

But picture the world as it transitions. There are going to many problems and many of them have been discussed here over the past year or so and on other Boards.  I recommend that you broaden your horizons and look at the big picture.  Be prepared to talk to people and look past the obvious where everyone else is looking and also to sources of information that many people overlook.  As an example, about 30 years ago I read a magazine called Popular Mechanics to get an unbaised view on new technologies and things that people were working on.  I saw an article about a promising technology and an interview with the CEO of a company.  I looked up the company and called the CEO and had a chat with him and then asked him if I could talk to the scientist working on the technology.  He said sure and gave me his number.  Got enough info to realize that they were on to something and bought some shares on NASDAQ.  Called the CEO back and said that I was now a shareholder and suggested that he get a PR out and mention the scientist.  He did that a few weeks later and the SP doubled.

So yes it's not easy and takes some work and imagination but it can be done.

As for suggesting or recommending companies, sadly those days are long gone for me after I retired from "the business".
