will suncor raise the dividend when it reports on may 5

hope the dividend will be raised, it looks like the only way this stock will be valued where it should be 35-40.

I hope not. It's not a good time to do so. Patience young lad

They should raise dividend,it was supposed to be reduced because of lower oil prices and the uncertainty of covid.Covid now has a vaccine, oil prices has risen beyond expectations, with a favourable future. If Suncor cannot reinstate dividend, with tmx to come online, and reduced operating costs running syncrude operations, combined with retail gasoline sales and jet fuel sales increasing, then Suncor in ...more

it wont. Just like most others....in most spaces....in most markets.....I dont think many of these companies want the PR nightmare...sorry to say....with everything going on in the world, scrutinization from every lip service.  For dividends to increase (which I am in line for higher too).  Just dont see it happening "mainstream" for moment. Unless someone has data showing ...more

Now it stands at 3.3%, aint bad at all. It doesn't make sense for the company to pay out more dividend and boost up share price while they are planning to buy back shares. Keeping  it low, and saving more and buying back more shares are more reasonable moves. And don't forget Covid is far from over yet.

Bye, bye. Have fun in your new world! I will stay in mine. I like my old world and it works just fine for me.  But hey, before you go, you might want to digest some facts about your Covid fears that are not so relevant today. Also, oil and gas will be around for decades.....literally.  Good luck!

ICES will keep their shares in developing countries, but in developed countries, we will go EV for sure.  Oil @gas wont die, it is lifeline for manufactuing, but most gas stations may not survive.
Comment by NPCexe on Apr 27, 2021 4:30pm
Guess what's gonna stop this EV revolution: a broke a$$ population, hahah. We will still have gas stations because the peasantry won't afford a Tesla.

LOL 75 of Canadians $250 from bankruptcy can't even afford to fill the tank on their 120 mth financed 2025 RAM.....but that's ok govts will buy them new EV that wi be twice as expensive to fill up as many EV owners discovered after the " free" tax funded fuel term expired hahahah.
