I'm confused
On July 4th Wynjoe said: EXTREMELY STRONG BUY!!!!!
On July 19th Wynjoe told us that he got stopped out
Today, Wynjoe said: SUNCOR IS A MAJOR SELL!!!
Based upon what management told us on the Q2 MD&A, the company was able to pour $1 billion into shareholder returns during the quarter while undergoing significant shutdowns/turnarounds at all four of its refineries. They also told us that the company was poised to have a great second half of the year. The only concern mentioned was the integrity of the South Wall at Fort Hills which they expected would be repaired by the end of the year without materially affecting company guidance.
I would like to know how Suncor moved from "EXTREMELY STRONG BUY" to "MAJOR SELL" in the past month. Maybe Wynjoe has information that the rest of us don't have. Maybe I missed the announcement where Russia and Saudi Arabia/GCC are getting out of oil. I guess I also missed the announcement that all the buyers of oil were suspending purchases and that the oil majors are shuttering all of their oil based operations. Did somebody come up with a way to tear up every pipeline and street in the world to replace existing pipes with hydrogen carrying pipes this summer? I keep looking, but I'm not seeing vast fields of solar panels or windmills where I live.
SU traded 7.7mm shares on the TSX today and another 6.7mm shares on the NYSE. I wonder how many of those shares were influenced by Wynjoe's powerful recommendations.
Posters attempting to influence others with trash need to be held accountable.

Suncor must add renewables to survive longterm and they know this. Even a small aquasition can make a difference. They should make a play for transalta renewables. This would help turn the market sentiment that killing this sp.
