Institutional ownership
Around 68.5% of Suncor shares are owned by institutions. This amounts to around 900 million shares. In the month of October alone, around 200 institutional holders increased their positions by around 69 million shares. Interpret this however you wish, it doesn't appear that institutional investors are all bailing on Canadian oil and gas despite cold winds over the sector. This company is too solid, too well run, too well placed, oil prices too faourable, to ignore completely despite a hostile government, hostile regulators and bat shite crazy econuts lurking in the true north strong and free.

Stockhouse is showing a banner concerning Alvopetro's 3Q earnings. Take a look , a miniscule Canadian company operating in Brazil and earning a much higher P/E than Suncor !! Under Trudeau , Suncor which owns PetroCanada which in turn was forced into existance by his father is now one of the most derided petroleum enterprise on the planet. Congratulations Pea Brain !!
