Honda EV grant to ONLY cost $1 million per job

$5 billion divided by 1,000 new jobs and saving 4,200 existing jobs.  

Will the grant really save those 4,200 jobs?  If so, the Canadian government has declared the ICE vehicle industry dead because if the Honda plant in Alliston can't survive, no ICE vehicle plant will survive. 

How can a job be worth a $1 million or $5 million if Honda was going to try to survive on its own?
