Yes, it is no doubt unfortunate that Ukraine is located right beside Russia, but that's something that cannot be changed. Because it can never be changed, the Ukrainians must be realistic and come to grips with the fact that the Russians will NEVER allow a NATO member to reside beside them. Putin has been consistent in that demand. I read a couple of days ago that Zelensky now believes that NATO will never admit the Ukraine. He would likely be content with entrance to the EU alone, while constitutionally accepting military neutrality. Given that, if Putin and Zelensky can agree on the EU issue, which may happen, then the war should end. I feel the market is forward thinking, and that's why the big drop in oil and gold today.
