RE:Iimpending Chineses VI B emission rules begin July 1, 2023

RE:Iimpending Chineses VI B emission rules begin July 1, 2023Saw this earlier - thanks for posting.

Gotta wonder a few things...

1...why the legacy auto makers would think that China wouldn't implement its rules on the date they said would and yet still build non compliant cars?

2....where are these millions of non compliant ICEs in China gonna be sold and at what price?

To me the crazy thing here is that the Chinese rules are based on what the plans are for Europe as part of their transition to banning ICEs in 2035 so it's not just China that is moving in this direction.  So what are these guys thinking?  At the same time, I see new mega multimillion dollar dealerships still being built when they won't be needed in an EV world since dealerships make their money in the garage not at the sales end (which increasingly be done on-line) and EVs need a lot less servicing than an ICE.  Dunno...somebody is stupid here - is it me or them???

Soooo....anyway, in the meantime, I will stick to my investment strategy that I outlined in previous posts...
