Guyana currently exports a bit less 400K barrels of oil a day and this figure will grow significantly in the coming years as the deposits found there are the fourth largest in the world and agreements to produce oil are in place with large US based multinational ol companies. So a conflict with Venzuala and a potential disruption in the supply of this oil is an important investment consideration in buying shares in an oil company.
The pipeline delays to take Alberta oil to markets other than the US is also a significant consideration in buying Canadian oil and gas companies.
