NIMBY and Climate ChangeMany here have commented about the advantages of using nuclear power to deal with issues related to the need for more electricity power....a topic I agree with with.
Saw an article where the Government wants to build an engineered landfill to house nuclear waste and the locals are totally against it.
What is required IMHO is a government that has some backbone and stands up to this nonesense.
So what we get are silly and costly economic alternatives to change the natural business ecoystem when the solution is in plain sight.
Sadly, a poll driven Government like we have is unlikely to do anything different....or for that matter world-wide
