RE:The fool on the hill

RE:The fool on the hillSnowbank...

Curiously Trudeau had it right but backwards....

Climate change is indeed affecting democracy as he suggests....BUT....the direction arrow is the other way around.  Climate change provides an opportunity for Governments to pass Marxist laws to control the activities of individuals and businesses.  In many posts I have said that Governments have to stop monkeying around with the natural business ecosystem and let the Free Enterprise system work things out.

The video does point in a way related things I have talked about in past posts from an investment point of view..

Look from an investment point of view, companies that produce electricity.  Demand for their product will increase faster than the demand for oil.  Second - most grids are designed to meet excess capacity and so there is actually significiant excess capacity during off grid times which mean that electricity utilities can meet that increasing demand using excess capacity (eg EV charging at night).  When demand gets higher than capacity the answer is nuclear as suggested in the video. The other aspect of this is to find companies with solutions to the inevitable grid failures that will increase as time goes on.

This is where the big investment returns will be found.
