Dividend and high oil prices.

If these prices continue to hold and even rise the fact suncor is paying 60% less in dividends then they were in 2018 and 2019 is gonna create alot of extra cash. This should allow the company to do a huge share buyback. I would expect a small divy increase over the next few quarters though.

SU didn't anticipate $60 oil headed to $75. With all the extra cash they will have they can: Buy back shares, Reduce debt AND increase the dividend. These are all good things for an investor. After all is said and done money talks and you know what walks.  Simply put: when a company finds a new firehose of cash connected to it's bank account you buy it.
