Debt Ceiling

Well another day and still no deal.  The GOP house members  are heading off for the
long weekend.  Its unthinkable that they would let the country default because of
selfish political ends.

If the worst happens,  then every politician in Washington should be held accountable
on both sides.  They are all culpable and guilty of dereliction of duty,  gross negligence and treason.  To sabatoge your own country for political brinksmanship is beyond forgiveness and every single one of them should be voted out of office on
the next election.

Right now they are still engaging in the blame game but the time for that is fast

Migraine,  I hope you are right about a Sunday agreement over the debt ceiling.  They could just squeak under the wire allowing for the 72 hrs.   If it doesn't happen,  the leadership of both parties will go down in infamy.   Sadly though,  the ultimate price will rain down on everyone's heads.  Again I hope you're right about an 11th hr agreement. & ...more

Yes, pretty good odds I'd say. I have a lot in play that they will get it done one way or another. Check out the massive sell volumes today on the US side of Canadian energy names, while on the Canadian TSX side, volumes are low. It is a risk off day on the US side for sure.   CVE, CNQ, IMO, SU...
