Dividend increase

Good morning Experience,

Another very good post of yours on 

":World Oil Prod 101.8 million SU Prod .748 million"


"The only real potential for a positive surprise would be if they repeat what did before and raise the dividend substantially as a surprise"

I am in the camp that SU will raise the dividend.While not "substantially", they will
take it to 57 cents.

The fact that they have reduced their share buyback under the NCIB tells me that either they are building cash for an acquisition or that they will go ahead with the
dividend increase even though, they failed at their attempt to buy Surmount.

lifeisgood...thanks for your kind words We see shortly what they have decided re the dividend.  I must admit that I have no particular view as to what they will announce in this regard.  They did say that if the Surmont deal were to go through that they would raise the dividend by 10%.  Since that deal fell through, the balance of probabilities is that the dividend won't be ...more
