Suncor Energy Inc. > Q3 vs Q2

Q3 vs Q2

This morning, i took the time to do some calculations on uptream and downstream
profits estimates

On the upstream i used 640,000 bbls/day and with that, SU will make 26 cents more in
Q3 than in Q2

On the downstream i used 410,000 bbls/day and with that,SU will make 22 cents more

AECO Nat gas is still hovering in the $2.50 so another + for SU and our CDN$ is half a cent lower so another +

Maintenance in the refinery are over for 2023 so they are running full out...

I would not be surprised at all if Suncor shows an increrase of at least 50 cents/ share if not more in Q3 vs Q2

Staying long

- WHAT about the 500 LESS EMPLOYEES in Q3 versus Q2 ? - on the NEGATIVE side, the WTI/WCS Price Differential is showing a NASTY DEGRADATION of MINUS USD 7 per barrel through that is QTD and NOT AVERAGE for QUARTER z173

Yes, forgot that one too. Don't remenber the exact figures but Rich Kruger did mention the payback time of these layoff and it was less than 1 year. After Q2 they were already 1/3 done. So your 500 will probably be close to reality Plus let's not forget the CDN Tire deal that will add 17% more to the downstream business. Life is good
