That's a long time from now, almost 12 years. A lot can happen between now and then in terms of who is in power in this country and that's going to influence where we stand in the future. You have to remember that this is a Wef agenda and that Trudeau's days are numbered in Canada. It's not going to pass.

JT, most liberal and NDP cabinets are graduates of WEF. They will push their agenda regardless of cost to the economy. As long as they are in power, it shows canadian voters supported them and cost saving is not their mandates or duty

I'm keen to find out in the next few years the resale value and depreciation of these EVs. The Nissan Leaf albeit the first electric car for very early adopters is horrendous. 8 year old vehicles with 85,000 km selling for $7,000 on Autotrader. Whereas Corollas - which were half the price to begin with - with 200,000 km sell for the same or more. Probably a lot easier to sell too.

I classify EV in the disposable electronics catergory. In 8-10 years owners need to replace EV battery. During that time, new battery formulation can takeover, more complex design, new formulation make recycling very costly. (IE recycling cost > end product value). More tax subsidy needed to fund the recyclers. A well maintained ICE car can last much longer than 8-10 years.

To add:: what i said is not a guess, projection or a plan, the software apps are already written and internally tested. It is ready to deploy when authority say go. Same goes cbdc, it's ready to roll. Hmm, maybe the next pandemic could help it along.
