Your post is not very clear. An abstract is a brief and very concise presentation of data. An oral presentation is normally very comprehensive. I.E. abstracts are just trailers for upcoming movies. It isn't just that there are so few people selected for oral presentations, it is the fact that it is extremely difficult to be selected and the field is wide and so competitive.
