Biotek

Up or down Tomorrow?
Comment by BioTeck on Jan 14, 2021 9:38pm
My guess is that we get news before the conference. Morning down a bit. Then surge leading up to news. Then depending on contents, we go up or down. My gut feel is that a lot of this news release is baked into the price so I'm going to say a bit of a selloff towards EOD. If they add some collab or license deal then depending on the details we should go up.

A halt would be better from a marketing stand point

In this case a halt actually might be necessary. If the presentation contains material news but it is restricted to conference participants until after the presentation or after the conference, a halt allows the company to respect the restriction while preventing advantageous trading until an equivalent news release is public.

Agree. I believe the presentation is open to public but they might still be required to halt or put out a NR.

The presentation is open you just need to pay 300 dollars to register. IF they are presenting material info, there WILL be a NR released BEFORE the presentation. The stock won' t be halted IMO. If I was a gambling man, I'd say there is news released at the start or the presentation or an hour or 2 before. Nice gains!

Didn't realize the cost. Agree. Happy to see some recognition here. I believe these results will take some time to digest but if all goes well it will signal the start of bigger moves ahead. In the big picture this is just the start.
