I listened to a couple of minutes and determined it was the same "ole" thing and shut it off. Was I right? If not I apologize to the longs here. gl

Dr. Toleikis seemed to imply that they were very close to bringing a thyroid treatment to a first in human clinical trial. One slide mentions that they've determined their clinical investigator and the regulatory package is in progress. He also mentioned that Thyroid would be their indication to enter clinical trials next. Hopefully they can finish that regulatory package and get it reviewed ...more

That would be the next big step; Thank you for your research and this valuable information. (Thumbs up) Let's hope that there are no concerns and that we can expect news about this in mid-June.

Yeah, that's all well and good, but where are we on diabetes?  I once had an employee who was great at starting something, but never finished.... so he was let go. And what do you mean.."that they've determined their clinical investigator and regulatory package is in progress? Do you mean Dr. Witowski is in progress or is progressing?  Maybe a clearer explanation is needed ...more

Here is my feedback: 1. Phil seems more confortable speaking. Probably because he has done this same presentation 50 times. 2. At the 13 minute mark, the slide shows before islet transplant, after 1st, and after 2nd. What exactly are the first and second transplants? Are they islets being added to the pouch or into the portal vein? Not very clear. 3. Still only 5/7 patients enrolled. 4. At 15 ...more

Point 2 of your post is what I believe to be the critical remark of the presentation (also the new add on about Hemo).   Phil made a remark about 13:30 regarding "current" data (he has seen but isnt published) extending the insulin injection-free period of this subject beyond 6 months and declaring an "effective cure".  This is HUGE to me and begs the question ...more

Not sure I believe you hofbag. Not that you're lying but you don't understand the clinical trial protocol. The patient was only insulin free after a portal vein injection. Anyone who understands the trial a little better care to comment on the top up injections?
