Normal Course Issuer Bid - Question

Normal Course Issuer Bid - QuestionLooks like they are really ramping up the NCIB. Max they are allowed to buy is ~149k per day, and they are near that most of the last week. Almost 2M shares since last report.

Does anyone know if the company has discretion with a NCIB? Or, is it completely hands off once started?

What I'm getting at is, does the higher volume mean anything, or is SVC powerless to change execution of NCIB once it is established (last october?). Is the high volume a sign that they think its good value, or simply what they agreed to do back in October, and no indication of current outlook?

Cheers,
P
