RE:FUTURE IS BRIGHTI think TELUS as a company and stock is highly "slept on". They're obviously a successful telecom company but they are so much more. I think Telus is one of the few Canadian companies that has a massive upside when it comes to the way they are investing in other technology solutions outside of just the telecom industry. They've made real substantive investments into health care and agriculture and I think they are ahead of the curve when it comes to utillizing technology and SaaS for other industries. They will pull ahead of companies like Rogers and Bell because they are doing a good job settting themselves up for future growth in future growth industries where tech hasn't yet been fully utilized. It's already a very solid company financially, so there is not a lot of downside risk to the share price, while the upside potential seems huge. Geting a solid dividend yield of 4.7% while owning their stock is a really nice bonus.
