RE: COMPANIES FINAL OFFER COMING?

RE: COMPANIES FINAL OFFER COMING?Actually red, according to the TWU only about 20% of the of members want to "strike" now. The interesting thing is that with the reversal of the ruling, it also presents a challenge to Telus. The TWU won the right to represent the clearnet employees but so far the company has refused to give the TWU the employee's names. If a legally mandated strike vote is held, then because these clearnet folks are entitled to vote, telus must provide the names, which they have not done so far. Once Telus provides the names, it is a sign that they accept the ruling. What is scary for the TWU is that they have no idea on who these clearnet folks are, and how they might be inclined to vote. BTW there have no calling of retired managers etc, to help fill the gap in case of a work stoppage, so until that happens, I doubt if there will be one. Incidently, all that is need to start a lockout or strike is for Telus to impose a contract, Periond. If that happens, a strike vote is not required.
