RE: Strike news.....................I believe that this proposed new Toyota plant is intended to be union free just like their existing one where Buzz Hargrove and his CAW are currently once again trying to get their toe in the door with yet another union organizing campaign. WalMart, Magna, Michelin, Toyota and others all trying to keep the union hordes from breaking through their castle walls. Will be interesting to see how long they can all hold out. But the long term trends have become pretty clear. If the last few decade long trends continue, then the only unions will likely be the public sector ones sucking up the taxpayers milk. And they will also likely be the only ones left with defined benefit pension plans, again courtesy of the taxpayers of Canada.
