Re: Bubbasht

Re: BubbashtRather than the very appropriate question why not let the members vote on the latest enhanced Telus offer, I have had another burning question for a long time now. Why has the TWU in their wisdom not allowed the members to go out on strike????? I have never, ever seen any union go for over 4 1/2 years without taking the members out on strike and using the unions best offensive weapon. So what the heck has been the reason for the TWU to break this new ground and not have called the members out on strike? If this was intended to be a test case of some new way to get the best deal for the membership, seems to me that it has failed miserably so far in that very likely a strike will ultimately be required anyway after all those wasted years unless the TWU bosses do finally wink and start some genuine negotiations which will truly meet the Telus concerns going forward.
