You are ignoring the basis on which existing contract was negoiated. Items in that agreement were achieved by bargaining. Your benefits were achieved in the process. Some of those benefits you are enjoying were brought about as a result of a strike many years ago. There is history in that agreement, items in there have proven over time to be legal and withstand challenges. We would not want to throw that away, we would just be opening the doors for appeals on everything. The lawyers get rich, stu gets a management job, the the TWU gets screwed.
You appear to be ungrateful, thinking only of yourself, not your fellow workers. I am amazed that given your posts into here and VFC that Telus has not contacted you and offered you a management position, something far more suitable for your qualifications than being a member of the TWU.
