Red....you say "hardliners" are running the TWU? Perhaps you are right. Lots of "members" couldn't care less what happens as long as they get a paycheque. So, it is the dedicated folks who attend union meetings, run for office, etc. If it wasn't for the "hardliners", or as I prefer dedicated folks, there would be no structure. Instead of casting them in a bad light, I would rather thank them for keeping the TWU together.
If the majority of the TWU ever gets totally disgrunted with the Executive...dont' worry, we can vote them out of office...but IMHO they are doing a great job in atttempting to get the contract issued resolved.
