RE: Surprised at no response

RE: Surprised at no responseHey Red.... Personally, I don't "hate" the managers at Telus, I actually feel a bit sorry for them. I have enjoyed a good relation with them, even attending functions at their homes. But they did have a choice. I feel for them because even though they are making big bucks, they are also driving themselves into the ground. When they cross the picket line they look like hell. But they are making good coin, but at a terrible price. They are not just doing their managers work any more, they are scabs. Decent people don't scab, period. When this is over, the TWU members will go back to being workers, but the managers will always be thought of as scabs, and this will go on for years. They will be facing pressure from their managers to get better results, and they will be managing a work force that knows they were scabs, not a good working relationship. I don't hate them, but will never trust them again. Scabs do it for the money, not the love of the job. They had a choice, it was called the Al Grundy decision. What is distrubing to me right now are the out and out lies that senior management is spreading around. The news releases, etc, are spun so far from the truth, it makes me wonder how anyone can believe them But, Telus has the money, they spend gazillions on advertising, and if you believe one minute that the media is going to report anything that affects their revenue, then I have a bridge for sale. For example, I have taken pictures of "retired managers" crossing the picket line. These guys are about 17-18 years old, yet according to a senior VP of Telus, they are all retired managers in my area. Truth is the first casualty of war...and the evidence of the TWU bashers on this board is quite evident of that. Just think, what is the purpose of bashing the TWU, what is the ultimate goal? It is just to sow discord and misinformation. I don't see them bashing the Autoworkers Union, the HEU, CEP, CUPE etc, just TWU. At least with Stuart we know where he stands, I dont like his rants, but he does have a valid issue, he is retiring and would like to get that final retro or lump sum payment, fair enough. But the others...well, they are just like the scabs....
