SamV21...good call...the stock has fallen a few percent since the divvy date (and continues to trend down today).  I must say this is getting tempting at 22.85..I may wade in for an intial buy today. This would be a long term buy (I also just starting buying BCE). Certainly know the SP wont rocket to the moon...but 5-6 percent capital appreciation plus the 6+ divvy would make for decent total

I just bought into T in the last few minutes at 22.25 (first time every holding T). I also just added to BCE. Both a long term holds.

And here we sit waiting for our .38 cent dividend April 1st. when it drops 1.63 and hasn't finished dropping , more like  we are April fools , well I guess we know what to do in 3 months instead of making .38 cents.

the bottom is near...dont know why anyone would see down here at this level. I am sure you have all seen other stocks do this same thing and most look back and regret selling. This will be no different.

Long term RSI is going into oversold @ 29.4 so the carnage may end soon but it can still get to 21.90 even though oversold.

Yup , I am guessing 21.80 tomorrow March 15th 2024 , should have dumped instead of holding out for .38 cents on April 1 st.

Hope so , depends how the big players want to manipulate it , I have seen a pattern of the price going up close to the  holding date then it drops 10 or 12 % , hard to know sell when it hits the high and buy back in after 30 or 45 days after it drops or sit on the sidelines and collect the 6-7% over the course of a year verses 10-12% in a matter of a few months . Dividends are also taxed more

Suggest you simply dont buy thios or any stock. If paying 30% on dividends vs.20%ish on Equity is a problem for you then you should just buy interest bearing product. It's taxed like income!!!

More like 15% capital gains tax verses 30% tax paid on dividends same as interest income  and the stock is down 12% from a month ago  , Telus has been shorted over the last few days, too much debt and wasting money on commercials with animals in them instead of customer service . I don't think we have seen the bottom yet , most likely < 20.00 soon , until interest rates go down

What ever you think, typical response, just sell at a loss and move on , pumpers like you  don't like to look at the facts or the truth and god forbid if there are negative facts posted .Like what you or I say has any effect on the stock price  , it just gives another point of view, if you think BS and hype drives a stock up on stockhouse you are in lulu land .It might save people

glad l went gung ho in VZ back in Oct at 32.50 and with an 8.3% dividend yield and now its almost at $43 US. many analyst currently have bay reco...Cdn telecomm $uck

Stock is approaching 2020 low. Bought more on the weakness this morning and now have my full position in the stock. Good luck everyone buying at these depressed levels.
