RE: re.dream onMaybe I am dreaming...but you never know. Remember when the PC government under Brian Mulrooney was starting to tinker with Senior's income and one little old lady stood up to Mr Mulrooney and pointed out to him the shortcommings of that; that short encounter changed the "reform" that was being considered. It was scrapped.
Telus is seeing its traditonal market being invaded by the likes of Shaw. Shaw has the ability to gather a significant market share from Telus if and when their IP offering gets going. On the other hand, Telus TV seems to be stuck in limbo even though other Telcos have no problem in offering the service. Can you imagine trying to lauch a new product like Telus TV with a labour uncertainly hanging over it.
If Telus wants to increase shareholder value, it must "lock" in the customer and what nicer way than to bundle everything...your phone service, your cell phone, your internet and your TV. Create a bundle and make it difficult for your competitors to "take away the customer". It is impossible to launch a new service like that should a labour stopage occur.........
