RE: Just a thought on sharesManagement certainly has changed. I can remember when the CEO Lynn Patterson came and had a beer with employees after work. The board of directors at that time also came and mingled with the employees. They were visible and approchable. Today...the CEO is invisble..the BOD..a bunch of toothless seniors, who have all reached their best before date. Maybe Rats is one of them....?
Well...I have read the 190+ pages of the "proposed agreement" and while there are some minor positives..the concessions that Telus is demanding without giving anything in return has just reinforced my belief that we are in for a big fight. This means my shares will not be worth as much as they are now.
It will be interesting to see what the court hearing on sunday results in. Personally I hope it is finally binding arbitration, but am not holding my breath. My belief that the company is gearing for a work stoppage was reinforced when a engineer told me that they had just finished engineering and installing circuits from a Telus Central Office to a third party call center. (to answer customer calls?)
