Changes in DRIP Participation Rate

Changes in DRIP Participation RateAs part of the discussion about the sustainability of the dividend, DRIP participation rates have come up in several posts. Page 79 of the Q3 2013 SEDAR filing allows one to compute the DRIP participation rates. Six consecutive quarters from payment dates of 1 Apr 2012 to 1 July 2013 saw participation rates of about 65 - 75%. The 1 Oct 2013 participation rate was 34%, the first dividend paid following the suspension of the Premium Dividend.

My own cash flow guesstimates use a participation rate of 25%.
