There has certainly been a lot of complaining about bill c-69 and many of these criticisms are valid. But the bill may produce outcomes that aren't so easily challenged by Native groups and environmentalists as the approval process will need to be more thorough.
Trudeau has said that, in order to move to a greener economy, we need tax revenue from the oil patch. Tax revenue from TMX will go to carbon-reduction efforts. Seems like a sensible plan to me.
