Teck Resources Limited is a Canada-based mining company that operates in copper, zinc, steelmaking coal and energy segment. RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Is it a good time to buy teckMaterial girl, you have a point about integrated oils being the only ones that can make a go of oil sands projects, making money on the refining and retailing side is a good hedge against the price of oil. However, nobody can predict the future and there may come a time again when oil sands bitumen can be sold at a profit - but that would be likely a ways in the future. Green energy is slowly making inroads into the fossil fuel industry, time is the enemy of the fossil fuel industry and if the automotive industry can go electrical, a big piece of the oil market will go bye-bye. I am assuming some energy source other than fossil can be found to generate that enormous amount of energy. I am still trying to figure how the markets are staying relatively high when oil,gas and virtually every other commodity is falling off a cliff. Dr copper is telling us we are in a bear market but maybe that doesn't apply any more.
