Does anyone here understand this right of first refusal,concerning Teck's sale of oil sands assets?

Thanks jrj90620,Teck took a bad hit on Fort Hills, don't know what the rush to sell was, i think Total is upset they took that price now it values it as such for when they wanted to exit, i.m sure they wanted much more that what Teck sold it for.

I think timing is the problem with fossil fuels.Teck knows that the days of burning fossil fuels for energy are numbered.So,they can get ahead of the change,by dumping the oil sands and met coal or take advantage of the short term,by holding.But,if they wait too long,when demand for fossils declines,then they may be unable to sell those assets for much.So,maybe,playing the long game,getting into ...more
