EGRIFTA SV (tesamorelin for injection) is approved in the United States for the reduction of excess abdominal fat in people with HIV who have lipodystrophy.

Great news indeed.. Unfortunately the patent alone won't protect TH from "skinny labeling" practices by generic drug makers, which will likely end up eating a significant part of the market opportunity, but it's giving a lot more credence to the whole NAFLD/NASH project. Hopefully, the F8 formula will be so much easier that patients will ask for "dispense as written" mentions on the script.
