Finally it was pointless to hope for something different. All we got was old Thera doing its usual stuff. This phase Ib is on track to be as much outside timelines given as the phase Ia was, which means late by a lot. We can analyse what they say or don't say all we want, the reality is that we have no certainty about anything on real patients that can without a doubt link TH1902 to efficacy ...more

Wow, i can't recall SPCEO being this close to packing it in before. Is this a puke on shoes moment beofre the rip, or is this a reality check that its time to get off the treadmill? Only time will tell.

Not sure what you are talking about. You were quoting a remark by JFM not me. I am disappointed we have not heard at least one piece of positive info yet from the trial but I am not freaking out. As I noted, other large shareholders I know who met with management yesterday came away feeling very good about the potential of TH-1902 and I they are not idiots. So, if we have had this much patience ...more

Ya, not sure where my head was at on that one! It has been a long week.  Glad you are back to your optimistic self.

Can you explain to me why your friends can talk with management and come away reassured about TH1902, and me and other little shareholders are left with yesterday's conference call and the same BS? If they have data that would reassure everybody, they should be able to find a way to make it clear to all shareholders. No need to publish the data if they think it's better not do it for now ...more

First, all three of my friends had the same disappointed feeling as most everybody else after the 8:30AM conference call. They went into the call with management unhappy. Based on what they told me they did not learn anything new from management - it was more the tone and emphasis around TH-1902 that was completely different. They left that second call feeling that everything was just fine. I ...more

I agree and in all honesty they should appreciate you for all the hard work you've done to help shareholder understand what's going on overthere and stay invested.  You've been wrong in your assumptions many times but you've always done your homework and everyone on this board and at Thera should recognise that fact.  I appreciate your hard work and resilience even if we ...more

I didn't listen to the call in the morning. Followed the conversation here. Had my expectations totally wrecked by that process. And when I did eventually listen came away thinking it was fine. Do you think maybe your friends listened to the CC expecting something, got nothing, got totally deflated and the phone call could pick them up from there? I am genuinely looking forward to that ...more

I think most TH shareholders thought we would at least get some meaningful comment about developments in the now 5 month old, open label phase 1b. Many, including me, hoped for something more than that as well (one or more of proof of concept, protocol extension, anecdotal encouraging info, FDA discussions info) but recognized that might be asking for too much at this point. I personally have ...more

You often, mostly, always....... are referring to that share offering as a reason to not give to much info ????  on the phase 1b..........!! It seems you don't remember what they did in the past.......:-(  If they need the money, they will do an offering at any price, because they don't care for the shareholders and themself have no vested intrest!!!!! They reiterated in the conference call that they have enough cash to fund all operations for the next year.  Thankfully, this is one thing they are communicating very transparently on.  Now, we'll see if they are actually willing to hold and wait for the clinical trial outcome, but it seems to me they believe they have enough cash to wait out positive results, have a solution to ...more

SPCEO could be wrong on this. There are other good clinical reasons for waiting to release info. Things don't necessarily move in a linear fashion. Releasing half-baked data with the assumption it'll come out in the end just how you expect will eventually bite you on the @ss. Often maybe. Leading to them backtracking on previous statements. Do that a few times and we'll be wondering ...more

I'll tell you how I'm parsing Paul's comments. First some facts and inferences and assumptions underlying it.  Drug cycle takes 3 weeks. In the past Christian has said real world stretches that to 4 weeks I'm going to stretch it a little further to a month. 1b start mid-May Complete enrolment target date - end Q1/23 Run time ~ 10 months 10 patients per cancer Could ...more

So I'm comfortable with nothing yet in terms of it not being a sign this is a dud. I could be deluding myself but that's were I am.
Comment by qwerty22 on Oct 16, 2022 2:16pm
So just to be clear. I think Paul's statement is not based on what they were seeing but can be explained by what is technically possible. It's another reason not to read the tea leaves on that one. I still like what you do, you take multiple factoids and try to put them together to tell a story. Nothing wrong with that but each fact may actually carry less weight than you are giving it.

Christian Marsolais Well, as we mentioned before, it will depend in terms of the efficacy, but the end of the quarter or next year, within the next six months we should be and we're expecting to have more signs of efficacy that we'll be able to announce. He said "have more signs of efficacy" - was he referring to phase 1a signs of efficacy as the previous signs of efficacy or ...more

The revamping of the organization chart with the addition of many jobs related to clinical trials and regulatory aspects for new Filings shows at least that management think they there is an even chance that Phase 1 b will allow to proceed to Phase 2 Of course this is not guaranteed and I dont think anyone involved in the Trial can predict how positive or how great will the results be Hopefully ...more

As an investor and I believe I am not alone I am thankful for your efforts to publicly disclose any information about your interactions with the company. We on this board are mostly retail investors so by setting up those rules they just stopped a free advertising avenue to their loyal investors. I wish I could understand the logic!!!

I think the message to large and small shareholders is the same  but when you have a 2 way conversation over the phone vs a one way conversation during a CC ... it is possible that one may have a different take... Moreover we all know when conversations are reported by one party who reports the tenure to another party that was  not present during the initial conversation then messages & ...more

So new corporate presn is out and it shows that SORT is highly expressed in breast cancer on slide 9 yet none of the 3 responders are breast (2 prostate and 1 endometrial) - slide 19. Can someone explain how this is positive?
Comment by scarlet1967 on Oct 14, 2022 7:01pm
They had 18 or so heavily treated very sick patients even if they had breast cancer patients with high sortilin expression we don't know how many if any made it to later stages/cycles of the trial treated with their drug at its therapeutic levels or for how many cycles! The prostate cancer patient's' results were a positive surprise as it was mentioned by Paul. "So, that's ...more

In 1a they took all-comers which meant they could get anybody. They may have got no breast cancer patients in 1a, they didn't disclose the mix of patients they got in 1a.

How much is SORT expressed in Prostate vs other tunour types? Just trying to make an opinion on whether to buy or move onto the many other viable options available that have better results.
Comment by Wino115 on Oct 15, 2022 12:57am
There's an academic paper you can search up just on Pristste tumors and sort1 expression. It labels it as highly prospective but mostly because the level becomes overexpressed the worse off the cancer stage.  On average though, it's around the 40% level of cancers overexpressing it.  What the 1a trial may have shown was those 2 prostate patients were late stage and metasticizing. ...more

If it wasn't for SPCEO1, I would not be an investor here.  No way would I even consider buying this stock based on what I would've been able to find on the company on my own.  THTX is really shooting themselves in the foot by alienating investors and not being more open in communication.  They've shown their greatest weakness is in external communications from the ...more

We've all been frustrated by the pace, but it's more we want to know we are going to see great returns and not be chumps --so we anticipate a bit too much.   I would just say that we have seen glimmers of solid data -- a prostate patient with >50% shrinkage after 9 weeks, an ovarian of around 30% after a few courses (not in their press, but we know that ourselves), another ...more

All they did was decide this was not the time to talk about the ongoing trial. They did this for a long time in 1a. We all need to understand why that might be.
