You Guys Don't Get It!

When i see a lot of these posts, I laugh.  You people don't get it.  Walter doesn't care what the share price is.  Walter came in this time last year to clean up the balance sheet and sell the company.  The buyer is already in line.  The corporate re-structuring and the re-financing will be complete by the end of this month.  Company will be sold in late Feb or early March.  Selling price will be beteen 0.80 and 1.00 (NAV plus a premium).  So those who bought at 1.50 will be mad as hell, and those who bought at 0.07 will be jumping up for joy.

You are funny @doggonemad ... Probably you bought a lot TID shares lately at 0.065and you wanna push the SP up  and sell at  .09 or .10 cents and  make a good profit ....) nice and good strategy. Good luck .

Nope.  My average cost is 0.20.  I bought when Walter came back.  I know stuff that he has done in the past.  I am also an ex investment banker so know how to size up a company.  When you invest in penny stocks (venture capital) the three most important things that you look for in a compnay are: management, management, management.  He has the experience, contacts and ...more

Few days ago you were asking why BRUCE MOYES has sold his shares and now you are almost sure that TID will be sold in 1 or 2 months ..ok it's just your opinion. Ok as an ex investment banker can you explain me if i'm a buyer why should i pay .80 cents or 1 dollar if i could go through the market and pay the actual SP  .07 or .08 cents  ? Thanks

Sorry, you got the wrong guy regarding Bruce Moyes.  BECAUSE if you want to buy the company, buy all the outstanding shares of the company (as GTE would be doing in this case), you would never be able to get it at that prize.  There are numerouse reasons for this; ask size would not support it and you would be pushing the stock price up to levels that you would not be able to control ...more

I agree. Just wondering I would think if Walter were to sell before the case with HRT were settled it would be in the $.65 range due to PB value and similar sales. Are you hopeing we get over a dollar or am I putting the wrong value here.

Remember that Walter came back last January.  Jeff Scott resigned from the Board in April due to possible conflict of interests.  Jeff Scott serves as Chairman of the Board at Gran Tierra Energy.  GTE is an oil and gas exploration and production company.  All their assets are in South America; Colombia, Brazil, Peru and Argentina.  They have no assets in Africa.  This ...more

Doggonemad, you're saying GTE will buy TID ...

I didn't get it until they announced the re-structing in November. Then it all came together.  Remember Jeff and Walter co-founded Saxon Energy.  He is not going to let his friend down.  Specially when buying TIDs assets makes sense for GTE (they pride themselves on bing a very vertically integrated company).

Doggonemad, I must admit your conclusions are interesting. We can also add that Walter may want to go for a well deserved retirement.

I am not 100% sure, but all the stars are aligned in this direction.  I could be wrong.  I have been wrong many times in my life.  But I have also been right a few times.  Too me this would be good for both companies and Walter could go and play golf without feeling that he ever created a failure.

Funny!   I thought I would get a bigger reaction from the board.  It seems that I struck a note.  Everybody has quieted down.  It seems like the board is saying....."hmmm, this guy may have a point..." Come on people, let me know what you think.  It would be a great deal for GTE.

If something sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't.

this is only if you bought the stock at the levels we have seen over the last year.  if you bought the stock at levels over 1.00 then you are SOL.  Remember a lot of the insiders bought the stock at high levels.
