FN as stake holders....

I'm a long time investor in tko and have a healthy position today.  I was wondering if any consideration had been given to the FN as to becoming stake holders, such as a royalty, and is this property robust enough to support that?

I'm sure there are all kinds of creative solutions on the table. But nothing will happen until the tribe decide they want to make a mine....either with Taseko or somebody else.

 IF the FN stipulates mine yes, TKO no, it is a no go, as that would hamstring TKO in finding a buyer. In my opinion... 1/ Respect for FN rights is not negotiable 2/ Respect for TKO investment and mineral rights is not negotiable 3/ a mine plan that does not wipe out Fish lake, and has the foresight to show what the area will look like when the mine is done (another lake or two, nicely ...more

Can anybody remember exactly what it is the Tzilcotin have against Taseko? Pokinfun hinted at something personal. Seems like Taseko have modified the mine proposal several times to take in environmental concerns.

there were many bizarre events throughout the prosperity / New Prosperity saga. Maybe i'll try and put them all together sometime. The thing that bothers me the most however was not the FN but the Environmental Review Panel removing the engineered floor of the proposed tailings facility therefore resulting in an 8-fold increase in seepage rates that hey claim would've contaminated Fish ...more

Its about control over the land.  They believe it is theirs.  Court ruling to the contrary does not change how they feel.  They also want to exert their "consultation" rights. And big pit mines are ugly.
