Q1 thoughts?

What are your thoughts on what to expect for Q1?

Guidance was for 125 million pound this year with increased production in the last half of the year.  So, maybe 25 million pounds at what 3.75 average.  Probably about 2.00 in costs so $43 million EBita.

That's just a best guess based upon available data.

Costs will be over $2. Q1 report won't be great but certainly not a disaster like Q4. 27M total production (not 75%), C1 around $2.20+. The ball starts rolling in Q2 with announcement of final Florence permit, JV deal particulars and construction start date. H2 is when things really heat up pertaining to share price. Projected end of year share price of $3 US.

Joe, end of your share price of $3 would be your very conservative estimate? 1/ Florence permit done, 2/ construction underway 3/ CU price prediction? 4/ if CU price is over $4.75 US, what are the earnings? 5/ Q2 production report, $$$$ (just Gibraltar) 6/ Q3 production report $$$$ (just Gibraltar) 7/ Q4 & 2021 results pending, but calculable from Q1-3, that is with every ...more

Well Kent, first, not banking on $4.75 US copper prices. If it happens, great, but can't assume as such. Second, this is Taseko we're dealing with. Until the market gives the company any street creds it's hard to assume a spike like ascent price wise. Third, it's Taseko we're dealing with...oh, said that already. In the end, one needs to be conservative in regards to predicting ...more

Joe, I hear you, been there, done that.  And no, I would not be banking on anything, but we are not in this for a wee jump, better places for our money for that, but the long game which make bank rates look like the joke that they are. On the low side, I would put CU @$4US over the year. That will give TKO some very good quarters, gathering steam into the fall. The Problem as we know with ...more

Kent,  I think you are right.   I reward for nickels in the ground until there are nickels in the bank.  When that happens, whales will start looking at what is in the ground too.  For many, the mining game is just too slow.  It takes forever to get a mine approved and producing.  We will all probably be dead before Yellowhead is putting cash in the bank.

Pretty close evaluation I think jc. I may sell some more tko and participate in ame pp. This is the way pps should get done. Sh and employees, direct or contract get 1rst crack at slight discount to market. Any that do not participe leaves shares to be devided between those that want them pro rata basis. I expect the offer to b upsized and oversubscribed. I think I will qualify gor a couple ...more
