1/2 million shares shorted on a share float of 137 million shares is both normal and trivial. It is too small to affect the stock price.
It is worth noting that any attempt by CGC or GAM to negatively influence TMM's share price would probably be illegal and would lead to both criminal charges and civil lawsuits as well as regulatory authority actions. Timmins would certainly be watching for any such efforts and would screem bloody murder if they found something. Their silence indicates nothing is amiss and any beliefs that some kind of conspiracy is underway by these other companies to keep TMM's price down is simply a fantasy with no foundation in fact.
