RE: puzzling...No, it has nothing to do with pride. The strong ties CGC management has to Gammon has already been touched on. My guess is that CGC management and directors expect to be warmly welcomed into the Gammon family with good positions and possibly rewards in the form of stock options for delivering their company. However if Timmins takes over they are probably expecting a quick boot out the door.
This fight is not about what's best for CGC's shareholders, it's about what's best for CGC's executives and directors. If they have to sell out their shareholders to get their bread buttered, then no problem!
