MIFID rules ??? Oy vey!

Great post, W, but could you please elaborate on these MIFID rules that prevent the fund from selling their position in a block?

I can't believe they acquired 14 million shares in 100 share lots, so why would they have to sell in that manner?

I'm sorry TT2, I don't have any more information outside of the MIFID acronym. I'm sure some online research would cast some light on it. It sounded like a complicated situation. I don't believe it's a ruse of any sort.
