RE:SEINFELD SHAREHOLDER MEETING

RE:SEINFELD SHAREHOLDER MEETINGEven Seinfeld got stale and predictable and eventually had to go off the air. Other than that, I agree that the comparisons are valid, minus all the central characters. Ed makes an excellent Kramer. And Ian is so very much like Newman.

I'm sorry I missed this year's AGM, since there's an excellent chance it will be the last. Frankly, it sounds entirely like the last AGM I attended in person, quite a few years ago. I recall Ian looked worried, but was determined to put on a big show of being in charge. The then-CEO gave a listless talk that had one takeaway message: "I have no idea how to run this company." I understand the sandwiches were good, but I didn't stick around.

These two knuckleheads, Ian and Eddie, are going out like Thelma and Louise. They think the solution is to just do more of the things that have led them to this path over the cliff. The consolidation play is just the last, and saddest example of that thinking.
